I need a new website

The first step to getting your website up and running is to fill out our questionnaire (link to questionnaire.pdf). This will help us get a better understanding of what your product and services are about and how you wish to relay that information to the general public. It will also help establish what your website URL is (or will be if you don't already have one).

DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION

The first step to creating your website is to get your own domain name. A domain name is your address on the web. It's the information that customers type in to find your website. A domain name can be any combination of letters and/or numbers up to 63 characters. The official domain name extensions are .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .us and .ws.

SUGGESTIONS FOR CHOOSING A DOMAIN NAME

Keep it short & simple. You want to make it easy for your visitors to remember your domain name. By keeping it short & simple you are increasing the likelihood your visitors will not only remember it but will not misspell it. It’s best to keep your domain name less than 15 characters if possible. For example, Fabricworld.com has a better chance of being remembered and typed correctly than www.wesellallfabrics.com. Be sure your domain name is easy for people to spell. Think of how you would try to look up your branding or services and try to incorporate that into how you spell your domain name.

Choose a domain name that reflects your business. Try to use the "theme" or "product idea" of your business in your domain name. After all, it will be what people use to search for business who provide such services. For example, if your sell herbal teas, you might want to choose a name that has the word “herbal teas” in it such as www.herbalteas.com. Sometimes the name you have in mind is already taken so you will have to get creative if that is the case. We can help you come up with the most suitable, memorable name for your business.

Remember, you can have the best site in the world, but if people can’t remember your domain name it will cut down on your return visitors. It’s hard enough to get traffic on the web without “losing” visitors that want to come back but can’t find you.
